How to Choose the Right Hotel
While planning a vacation, choose the accommodation according to your budget and requirements. Selecting a hotel becomes easy if you can identify the expectations you have from that hotel. Are you looking for hotels with swimming pool and gym facilities or do you want one just for a night’s stay? If quality of service, privacy and ambiance is important for you then look for hotels with more stars. Hotels are graded according to the amenities and the services that they offer to their guests. The higher the rating the more expensive the hotel is bound to be.
If you are opting for a five star hotel, expect luxurious rooms with high end furniture, fresh linens and mini bars. Private bathrooms come with spa range bath products, tubs and fluffy towels to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Opulent lobbies, 24 hours room service and multiple choice of cuisines add to the extravagance of the place. This luxury comes at a hefty price so opt for 5 star hotels only if you have a lavish budget.
The elegant four star hotels offer nearly the same quality at a slightly lower price. The rating may come down due to non existent butler services and the size of the hotel rooms, but other than that the staff will pamper you silly and the amenities and magnificence do match their higher rated cousins in every way.
Three star hotels offer fewer amenities compared to top rated hotels but generally rooms are comfortable, clean and come with private bathrooms. You will find the staff friendly and accommodative, infact many people prefer this kind of personalized service to the non obtrusive staff of the high end hotels.
Don’t expect much in terms of service in a two star accommodation. These hotels are good for short term stay especially when you are on the move on a long trip. They are also a good choice for budget conscious families. Room service is usually absent here and the restaurant food with its limited menu will make you wonder how food this expensive can taste so awful!
Single star accommodations are best suited to those who just want a place to rest in the night and couldn’t care much for comfort or cleanliness till the place is dirt cheap and safe. These hotels are best suited for backpackers and weary travellers who are constantly on the move. With a wide choice available to suit every budget and need, choose wisely to have a great holiday.
